End Result:
- The nanofiltration (NF) system removes ~40-50% of the water from skimmed milk thus enriching SNF to the desired level. In the case of Whole milk, it removes ~25-30% of water.
- Permionics proprietary NF membrane removes partial ash without loss of any Lactose and milk solids. This helps in meeting the ash limit for skimmed milk powder (SMP).
- Dewatering by our NF reduces the load of the evaporator thus improving economics. And in cases where milk is transported to other locations, the dewatering helps to reduce logistic costs.
